Hello,I've always wanted to transfer my iTunes music playlist to Spotify, but I can not find the feature that will allow me to complete the action on Spotify. Kindly share the best method for me to get the job done.
Unfortunately, Spotify has removed the feature that allows users to import iTunes playlists. So, if you're in a similar situation, don't worry. You've come to the right page to find a solution.
This post provided the best ways to import iTunes playlists to Spotify seamlessly. So, without any further ado, let's dive in to find out how the process works.
Part 1: Transfer iTunes playlists to Spotify manually [No Third-party Apps]
Part 2: Convert iTunes playlists to Spotify via online tools
Even though Spotify no longer supports importing iTunes playlists, the good news is that you can still import MP3 files to Spotify. So you need to export your iTunes playlists to your PC's local drive, then import them to Spotify.
But since iTunes music format is usually in M4A or M4P, the music in your playlist must be converted to MP3 before transferring to Spotify.
This process might seem confusing, but it'll work for you if you follow the steps outlined below correctly.
Step 1: Open the iTunes app on your computer and click File from the top bar.
Step 2: Select Edit > Preferences.
Step 3: Click Advanced, then scroll down to tick the checkbox next to "Share iTunes Library XML with other applications". Then, click OK to confirm the selection and exit the window.
Step 4: Click File and navigate to Preferences once again. Then open the Settings window and select General > Import Settings > MP3 Encoder.
Step 5: Find your iTunes playlist and select the songs you wish to transfer to Spotify. Afterward, click File > Create New Version > Create MP3 Version. Once you complete this, the selected iTunes songs will be exported to your computer in MP3 format.
Step 6: Now, open Spotify on your computer > click on the Profile icon and go to Settings. Then, select Edit > Preferences.
Step 7: Scroll to the Local Files option and turn on the toggle next to Show Local Files. After that, click the Add Source option from the Music library section.
Step 8: Select the iTunes playlist folder you saved to your computer. After you add the folder, the songs will be in the Local Files song folder in the home section. Easy-pizzy lemon squeezy!
Pros
Cons
Are you finding the above solution challenging to understand? If yes, then online tools come in handy for you.
Using an online tool is much easier than carrying out the task manually. If you don't know which online tool is the best, you can rely on Soundiz or TuneMyMusic to execute the task.
Soundiiz is one of the best online music converters that support importing iTunes playlists to Spotify. You can do this job by sharing playlist URLs or uploading the TXT files. Sadly, it can't transfer playlists TXT files greater than 2MB.
Step 1: Open the iTunes app on your computer and locate the playlist you intend to transfer to Spotify. Then, click Share Playlist and select Copy Link.
Step 3: Open Soundiiz on your PC browser and click Start Now. Then create an account.
Step 4: Once you create an account, click iTunes from the left side of the screen and select Export My Playlist.
Step 5: Log into your Spotify account and import the iTunes playlist to Spotify.
TuneMyMusic is a top-rated online palylist transfer tool. But unlike Soundiiz, it allows iTunes playlist transfer via playlist link or XML file. Also, TuneMyMusic does not require you to create an account with them.
Step 1: Launch the iTunes app and click File. Select Library > Export Playlist.
Step 2: Visit TuneMyMusic and choose iTunes as the source music platform.
Step 4: Import the XML file you saved on your PC or paste the playlists link. Then, choose the Destination music platform as Spotify.
Step 5: Sign in to your Spotify account. Afterward, click Start Moving My Music and wait for the process to finish.
You don't need to be a tech guru to transfer the iTunes playlist to Spotify. You can either transfer playlists manually or use an online tool. Whatever method you choose, ensure you complete the steps correctly. We advise using an online tool as it makes the job easier.
Transfer playlists between different platforms for free. Move the downloaded music from one device to another easily.
