The iOS Notes app can be pretty useful, allowing you to jot down quick notes or even create to-do lists that can help you remain on top of your tasks. This is why it is not uncommon to find yourself with a lot of important notes that you want to keep safe until you can transfer them to a safer location. Yet sometimes, you may need to transfer the notes from your iPhone to the iPad so you can access it when you don’t have your iPhone with you.
But how do you transfer notes from an iPhone to an iPad? Well, there are several effective solutions although in this article we are only going to be looking at the most useful.
Transfer Notes from iPhone to iPad Using iCloud
How to Transfer Notes from iPhone to iPad with MobileTrans- Phone Transfer
How to Turn on Notes Sync for Gmail or Exchange
This is perhaps the most convenient way to transfer notes from iPhone to iPad. When it is done correctly, it is also one of the easiest solutions available. To use this method to transfer notes from your iPhone to iPad, follow these simple steps;
Step 1: On both the iPhone and the iPad, open settings and then tap on “iCloud”
Step 2: Tap on the switch next to “iCloud Drive” to turn it on. Make sure that you do this on both devices.
Step 3: Now when you go to the Notes app on the iPhone, you should see a folder named “iCloud”. From now on, any notes that you create on the iPhone will be automatically synced with the iPad whenever the two devices are connected to a Wi-Fi network.
The solution above seems easy enough until you realize that you can only use it if you are signed in to the same iCloud account on both devices. But what if you are not? What if the iPad you want to transfer the notes to is not connected to the iCloud account, or it is not yours at all. In this case, you need a solution that will allow you to easily go around this problem and simply select the Notes you want to transfer before transferring then to the iPad.
The best solution in this case is Wondershare MobileTrans, one of the best third-party solutions to help you transfer all types of data from one device to another quickly and easily. The following are just some of the program’s most notable features;
To use MobileTrans to transfer notes from your iPhone to your iPad, download and install the program to your computer and then follow these simple steps;
Step 1: Once the program has been successfully installed, run it and in the main window, click on “Phone Transfer” to begin.
Step 2: Then connect both the iPhone and the iPad to the computer using USB cables. You may need to unlock the devices to allow the program to detect the devices.
It is also important to make sure that the devices are in the correct order. The iPhone should ideally be the “Source” device and the iPad should be the “Destination” device. If this order is not as it should be, you can click on “Flip” to change it.
Step 3: Once the devices are connected and MobileTrans has detected them both, you should be able to see all the data on the iPhone listed between the devices. Select “Notes” since we want to transfer notes from the iPhone to the iPad and then click “Start” to begin the process.
Note: Keep the devices connected to the computer until the MobileTrans notifies you that the process is complete. If you would like to remove the existing notes from the iPad, ensure that “clear data before copy” is selected.
If you would rather not use iCloud to sync the notes or you don’t have enough storage space on iCloud to store the messages, you might use an email service like Gmail or Exchange to sync the notes with your iPad. To do that, follow these simple steps;
Step 1: Open Settings on both the iPhone and the iPad
Step 2: Tap “Accounts and Passwords”
Step 3: Select the account that you would like to use to sync the notes. It can be an email account of your choice such as Gmail or Exchange
Step 4: Make sure that “Notes” is turned on to begin syncing the notes with the iPad.
Note: In order to sync the notes with your iPad using this method, you need to sign in to the same email account on all devices and enable “Notes” to sync on all devices.
The solutions above should be useful when you want to transfer notes from iPhone to iPad. Each solution is relatively simple, but it is important keep in mind that you need to ensure that both devices are signed in to the same iCloud or email account that you want to use. MobileTrans eliminates this problem since all you have to do is connect the iPhone and the iPad to the computer and easily transfer the data as needed. Let us know in the comments section below if you are able to transfer the notes. Any questions and concerns about the solutions above are also welcome and we’ll do our best to find solutions for you.
