Step 1: Connect the device to the PC and make sure you select the “Transferring images” option in Settings.

Step 2: Open the File Explorer on your computer and then go to This PC/ My computer and you should see the Android device in “Devices and Drive”. Double-click on the device to open it.

Step 3: Locate the DCIM/Camera folder which contains all the photos you take on the device. Open the folder and then copy all the photos you would like to transfer to your PC.

Step 4: Go to the External Hard Drive and paste the photos in the drive or a folder within the drive.

Method 4: How to Transfer Photos from Samsung to Google Drive

The best way to back up your Photos or Videos to the Google Drive is to back them up in Google Photos. Here’s how you can do that;

Step 1: On your device, tap on the “Google Photos” app to open it. It may be included in the “Google” folder of apps.

Step 2: Turn on the “Backup and Sync” option at the top and then tap “Confirm”

Step 3: Tap on the menu (three dots) > Select to choose the images that you would like to include in the backup.

Step 4: Once you have selected all the photos that you would like to include in the backup, tap on the menu again and select “Backup Now.” If you would like to remove the photos from the device but keep them in Google Photos, select “Delete from Device”.

Method 5: How to Transfer Photos from Samsung Phone with Dropbox

Dropbox also offers you a great way to back up all the photos on your Samsung device and since you get 5GB of free storage with Dropbox, you can upload quite a number of files to the cloud service. Follow these simple steps to transfer the photos on your Samsung device to Dropbox;

Step 1: if you don’t already have Dropbox on your device, go the Google Play Store, search for it and then install it on the device. You will then need to sign in to Dropbox or create an account if you don’t already have one.

Step 2: Once the app is installed on your device, you can choose to automatically backup all the photos on the device to Dropbox. This means that any photo that you take on the device will be added to Dropbox. To set up this automatic backup, go to Apps > Dropbox and then tap on the menu icon at the top left corner to select Settings and the turn on “Camera Uploads.”

Step 3: To upload the photos already on your device go to Apps > My Files and then select the photos you want to add. Tap on the menu button at the top and then choose “Share > Add to Dropbox”. Tap “Add” to complete the process.
