How to turn on Stolen Device Protection on iPhone?

Stolen Device Protection adds extra security when your iPhone is away from familiar places, making it harder for a thief who knows your passcode to change key account or device settings.

Quick Requirements
  • You need two-factor authentication for your Apple Account.
  • You need a device passcode and Face ID or Touch ID set up.
  • Find My must be turned on, and location-related settings are also required.
Best Choice
  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Face ID & Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode, then enter your passcode.
  3. Tap Stolen Device Protection.
  4. Turn it on, and if you want, choose the option to always require a security delay.
Pro Tip

Do not wait until after a theft scare to turn this on. Its value is highest before anything goes wrong.
