How to use Secure Folder on Samsung?

Secure Folder creates a protected space on your Samsung phone for private apps, files, and accounts. After setup, anything moved into the folder is separated from the rest of the phone and locked with its own protection.

Steps
  1. Open Settings and go to Security and privacy, or Biometrics and security, then tap Secure Folder.
  2. Sign in with your Samsung account if asked and choose a lock type such as PIN or password.
  3. Add apps or move files into Secure Folder.
  4. Enable extra privacy options such as hiding the folder or locking it automatically when not in use.
Quick Checks
  • Apps inside Secure Folder are separated from the same apps outside the folder.
  • Some widgets, sharing actions, or notifications can behave differently inside the protected space.
  • The exact menu location depends on your device model and One UI version.
Tips
  • Use Secure Folder for private work files, finance apps, or photos you do not want mixed with the rest of the phone.
  • Choose a strong lock type for the folder instead of relying only on convenience features.
