To use WhatsApp payments, you need to make a payment to contact by sending the request. After receiving the request, the user can set their UPI and use it to send or receive money. There is no need to worry when transferring money using WhatsApp as it does not save any of your data like bank information and UPI details. Also, you don't need to download anything separately to use Whatsapp payments, just set up this feature and use it within the app.

Step 1: Launch Whatsapp on your mobile phone

Step 2: Go to the menu from three vertical dots on the top right of the screen for Android devices. For iPhone, go to Settings.

Step 3: Click on Payments

Step 4: Now, tap on New Payments to add the payment method.

Step 6: Now, select your bank from the list, followed by verifying your phone number. Ensure that the number you have given for verification is the same as the number registered in your bank.

Step 8: Again, click on Allow to let WhatsApp send an authentication message to your account and pull all your accounts registered with the same number

Step 9: Select the account you would like to choose for WhatsApp payments and click on Done to complete the process

Part 2. Send Money with WhatsApp Payment

The below simple steps will help you in sending money via WhatsApp. You don't have to worry about your data privacy as everything is end-to-end encrypted in WhatsApp.

Step 1: Open the chat of the individual you want to send money to

Step 2: Now, navigate to the attachment icon or +

Step 3: From here, click on payments and enter the amount you want to send. You can also add a note to the receiver.

Step 4: Lastly, enter your UPI pin to complete the process. Once after successful completion, you will be notified via a confirmation text

Part 3. Send Money with QR Code on WhatsApp

Whatsapp introduced payment transfer methods but was still lacking with advanced payment options like QR codes. This feature was integrated soon after the coming of the payments feature.

To send money to anyone using QR code scanning. Follow the below easy steps.

Step 1: Go to WhatsApp settings and select Payments.

Step 2: Now, tap on New Payments, followed by selecting Scan QR Code

Step 3: You will now be redirected to the QR scanning option, where you will be asked to enter the amount you want to send

Step 4: At last, enter your UPI pin for verification.

To receive money in your account with WhatsApp, the below steps are required. You can receive money from anyone on WhatsApp, even if the sender doesn't have WhatsApp payments.

Step 1: Share your WhatsApp UPI pay id with the sender

Step 2: The sender can use any payment platform like PhonePe or Google Pay to send you money using your UPI id.

Whatsapp allows you to send money to anyone on other payment apps such as PhonePe, Google Pay, Airtel Payments, etc. the below steps will guide you on how to do so.

Step 1: Open your WhatsApp and select Settings

Step 2: Now, click on Payments and select New Payments

Step 3: After this, click on Send To A UPI ID and enter the UPI ID, followed by clicking on verify

Step 4: Once verification is completed, enter the amount you want to send and hit enter
