How to Move Secure Folder Photos from a Galaxy Fold to iPhone Duo

Secure Folder photos cannot transfer directly from a Samsung Galaxy Fold to an iPhone Duo while remaining inside Samsung Secure Folder. Export photos and videos from Secure Folder to standard Gallery storage or a computer first, then move the exported files to the iPhone through a cable, cloud service, or phone-transfer application.

Steps
  1. Open Secure Folder on the Galaxy Fold and unlock the folder with the registered security method.
  2. Select the required photos and videos, tap More, then choose Move out of Secure Folder. Confirm that the exported files appear in the standard Gallery.
  3. Connect the Galaxy Fold and iPhone Duo with a compatible cable, or copy the exported media to a computer.
  4. Transfer the files through the iPhone Photos app, Finder, iTunes, iCloud Drive, Google Photos, or a supported phone-transfer tool.
  5. Open the iPhone Photos app and verify the transferred photos, videos, dates, file counts, and playback quality.
Common Issues and Fixes
  • Samsung private photos missing after iPhone transfer: Files may still be inside Secure Folder. Move the files out of Secure Folder before starting the transfer.
  • Photos do not appear in standard Gallery: Secure Folder may be hiding exported items. Check Gallery albums, enable hidden-album visibility, and repeat the export.
  • Videos fail during transfer: Large files or unsupported formats may cause failure. Transfer videos separately, maintain sufficient storage, and convert formats when required.
  • Cable transfer does not detect the Galaxy Fold: The phone may be locked or using the wrong USB mode. Unlock the phone and select File Transfer from the USB notification.
  • iPhone storage becomes full: The selected media may exceed available capacity. Check iPhone storage before transferring and move files in smaller groups.
Quick Tips
  • Keep the Galaxy Fold connected to power when exporting a large Secure Folder library.
  • Preserve original dates by using a direct cable or computer transfer instead of screenshots or messaging apps.
  • Do not delete Secure Folder originals until the transferred files open correctly on the iPhone Duo.
  • Secure Folder albums, locks, and Samsung-only privacy settings do not transfer to iPhone. Store sensitive files in an iPhone-compatible encrypted or locked location after transfer.
Related Questions
Can Secure Folder videos move to an iPhone?

Yes. Move videos out of Secure Folder first, then transfer the exported files through a cable, computer, cloud storage, or compatible transfer application. HEVC or high-resolution videos may require format conversion for broad iPhone compatibility.

Why are Samsung Secure Folder photos missing after transfer?

Secure Folder content is stored separately from ordinary phone storage and may not appear in automatic scans. Exporting files to standard Gallery storage or a computer makes the media available for iPhone transfer.

💡Protip:

MobileTrans can help move exported photos and videos between supported Samsung and iPhone devices after Secure Folder content has been moved to accessible storage.
