In this article, I will show you some of the common methods that people normally use to avoid the read receipt. This is a suitable method for both Android users and iOS users, and some of the methods can be used by Windows users too.

Method 1: First, you can choose to turn on Airplane Mode

For android users:

• Step 1: You can turn the Airplane mode on by settings > Connections > Airplane mode.
• Step 2: Make sure that the switch button next to the Airplane mode is turned on.

For iOS users:

• Step 1: Go to settings and Locate the Airplane Mode button.
• Step 2: Make sure that the Airplane mode is turned on.

Alternatively, you can turn airplane mode on by using your finger to swipe down from the top of the screen to open the quick settings menu, and you can find many options there, including the Airplane Mode. Both Android and iOS can use this method. The Layout depends on which version of the device you are using.

It’s that simple.

When you turn on the airplane mode, It will stop you from connecting to the network connection, and you wouldn’t be able to make calls, so when you get a message that you don’t want the person to know that you are reading. You can use this method to get into LINE chat and take your time reading the chat messages.

Note: Be sure to turn off the airplane mode after you are done reading. Please be aware that If you turn the mode off before you close the chat messages, it would appear as Read.

While turning on the mode allows you to read the chat without notifying the reader. It must be exchanged with your ability to use the internet and network connection. So this method isn’t good for some types of situations.

Method 2: Read from the pop-up notification.

This is the easiest and the simplest method because it only requires you to turn on the notification in settings. And when the notification is turned on, you can see the incoming messages on your home screen, or it will pop up on the top of the screen for you to read it. This method is one of the most irritating for some of the gamers because you can end up tapping the notification by chance, but on the other hand, it is somewhat reliable.

To enable the notifications on android and iOS, you only need one simple step. 

• Go to settings > notification. And make sure that notification is turned on.

Method 3: Read from the App’s Chat panel

Normally you don’t have to specifically tap or click on the person to read their chats. This is the method for people who like to live on the edges. Because it takes only one click for you to mess up. But on the bright side, you don’t have to adjust your settings to do this simple trick.
