“I am new to Apple service, and I want to know is it possible for me to use an iPhone without Apple ID?”
A user recently posts this in an Apple online forum. When setting up your new iPhone, you will be asked to create an Apple ID before gaining access. And it requires you to provide your confidential personal information. Most times, users are reluctant to share it online for security reasons.

Turn on the iPhone, and you will be asked to complete some basic setup. The setup includes selecting a language, adding a contact address, and creating or importing an Apple ID.
Step 1: So when you turn on your iPhone, the first page will show ‘Hello’. After a while, a new one requesting you to select your preferred language would pop up.
Step 2: Choose a language and you will be directed to another page. On this page, you will be asked whether you want to set up your device automatically or manually. Select Set Up Manually.

Once that's set, Apple will request whether you want to import data from your previous device to the iPhone or not. Since this iPhone is a new device, select Set Up as New iPhone.
Step 4: Now, you will be directed to the Apple ID setup page where you have an empty field where you enter your User ID. Underneath the field, you have the Forgot Password or Don't Have an Apple ID option, tap on it.
Step 5: Select the Set Up Later in Settings on the next screen. Next, a dialogue box asking you to confirm that you don’t want to use Apple ID will pop up. Select Don’t Use and in no time you can easily access your iPhone without an Apple ID.
Using an iPhone without linking an Apple ID is fine since you are scared of security theft. However, you have to bear in mind that the absence of Apple ID on an iPhone does have its downsides.
For instance, you can’t access Apple Store if you do not link or add Apple ID to your iPhone, and you know what that means? You can’t download any third-party application on the device. Also, the absence of Apple ID restricts you from enjoying certain amazing features like Find My Phone.
Furthermore, you are restricted from using iCloud Backup. Hence, you cannot store or back up your data over the cloud.
