Google Pixel 7 Pro: Design and Display
The most obvious and notable change is in the camera bar. Google has decided to add an aluminum cover to the phone's camera bar, which would blend seamlessly into the frame. The aluminum camera bar has three cutouts for the flash and the lenses. Google Pixel 7 Pro is one of those phones which can withstand an ocean of competition. You can easily spot a Pixel in a room.
The glossy finish to the phone is always pleasant to the eyes, but it gets slippery when touched with sweaty hands. If you wish to have a premium feel, Google Pixel 7 Pro is pretty good.
When you look at the Pixel 7 Pro, its slim bezels will catch your eye due to the panel wrapping around the phone. Also, the 7 Pro is a bit thicker (.7mm) compared to the previous models.
For the phone's display, the curves reduce the chances of color distortion and offer a delightful experience of watching movies and series. Also, the phone has come with 25% more brightness than its predecessors. Also, it comes with a good refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Google Pixel 7 Pro: Camera
The Pixel 6 Pro introduced the camera upgrades, while the Pixel 7 Pro shows mastery over the upgrades. The primary camera remains unchanged; the ultrawide camera has new upgrades. The telephoto lens can offer a zoom of up to 5x, upgraded from 4x.
Read further to know more about the cameras:
#1 Primary Camera
The primary camera sensor used in Pixel 7 Pro is the Samsung GN1 with a 1/1.31" optical format. With the 50 MP primary camera, you will have an 82-degree field of view, corresponding to a focal length of 25mm. Moreover, the lens is pretty stabilized.
The photos in daylight with the 7 Pro are great. It leaves gritty details and spices up the texture with clarity and a distinct tone curve. Pictures are not overly saturated but look vivid. Now, with the night sight disabled, you can take decent photos with the Pixel 7 Pro. However, the images can be a bit softer and underexposed as well.
#2 Ultra-Wide Camera
The Pixel 7 Pro's ultrawide camera does maintain the sensor from its previous model, i.e., 12MP, 1.25µm pixel pitch. This camera offers a wider field of view, i.e., 126 degrees. The best development here in this ultrawide mode is the autofocus. This allows you to take fine-wider shots and also enables the macro mode.
The macro mode works fine if you click pictures of flowers and other objects outside. You will have decent shots during the day, but the photos will appear noisy and a bit low-quality in low-light conditions or indoor lighting.
#3 Telephoto Camera
The telephoto lens uses a 48MP 1/2.55" sensor with 0.7µm pixels, and we expect it to be Samsung GM5. Even with this, the resulting pictures will be 12.5 MP. It gives you 5x zoom. Google claims it offers a 20.6 degrees field of view, about 119 mm. This lens is pretty stabilized and features an f/3.5 aperture.
For the 5x telephoto, we must say the photo-generated is not that sharp compared to others. Also, the images are not processed in the typical Pixel way and lack grittiness and texture. Compared to the 7 Pro's primary camera, the telephoto camera has a different color rendition; it gives off a greenish tint.
However, it can take good images in the dark. The darker it gets, the finer the shots will be.
#4 Front Camera
Pixel 7 Pro offers a 10.8 MP front camera offering a 92.8-degree field of view. It sounds like the oldies, but you will get 10 MP Selfies. The aperture is f/2.2, lacks autofocus. It offers two zooming levels, one at 0.7x and the other at 1.0x.
When in abundant light, the camera can take pretty good selfies. Dynamic range and color rendition are incredible. To take great selfies, choose the right lighting.
#5 Video Recording
The Google Pixel 7 Pro can record videos up to 4K at 60fps. It uses the h.264 codec set by default, but you can alter it to h.265 in video settings. You can stabilize all four cameras.
1x footage during the daylight looks incredible. The 47mbps and 71 Mbps clips have great picture quality with every tiny detail. The 2x zoom appears a bit mushy but holds the same properties as the 1x zoom. Also, there is no notable difference between 60fps and 30fps.
#6 Camera App Tricks
The Pixel 7 Pro also comes with a bag full of camera tricks. Magic Eraser is one of the finest tricks you can do with the Pixel 7 Pro. It can help you remove unwanted and unnecessary things from your pictures. Another one is the Macro Focus, which primarily helps take close-up pictures.
Next on this list is the Cinematic Blur. This mode helps you blur the background keeping you or the subject popping up. It works mostly like the Apple Cinematic Mode.
Another trick is Photo Unblur, which can restore blur photos into clear photos. It can renew images with low resolution as well.
Pixel 7 Pro: Hardware and Performance
The Pixel 7 Pro comes with the Tensor G2, with 2x A76 cores, 2x high-power Arm Cortex-X1 cores, and 4x A55 cores. It lays over 10% of improvement over the previous chip.
If you are into gaming, typical mobile gaming, the Tensor G2 gives you a performance boost like no other. Also, this model does not heat up much like the other version, and you experience much fewer thermal throttles while you play. This is not just for gaming; you can easily carry out heftier tasks on this phone.
Google Pixel 7 Pro: Battery Life
The Pixel 7 Pro comes with a 5,000 mAh battery is good news. And if you did not know, all Android flagship phones have an agreed distinct form factor, a 5,000 mAh battery, and a 6.7-inch screen.
Whether web browsing or video streaming, you will get a nice battery backup, but playing intense games will eat up the battery even faster. Also, google claimed that every user will have a battery life of 72 hours on a single charge.
However, from hands-on experience, the Pixel 7 Pro can last a day without charging.
|Battery||Pixel 7 Pro|
|Battery Capacity||5,000 mAh|
|Charging Methods||Via USB-C cable|
|Max Charging Speed||23 Watts(25% in 15 minutes, 49% in 30 minutes, 69% in 45 minutes, 83% in an hour, and a full charge in 1 hour 37 minutes.)|
