Method 2: Transfer Everything Individually

This may sound terrifying, buts it is really not. All you need is a little free time on your hands.

To Transfer Contacts:

If your contacts are synced with an email account, your Gmail account for instance, you can simply set up that account on your new windows phone and all your contacts shall be available to you on your phone.

If however, your contacts are in the iPhone itself, follow these steps:

1. Download and install iTunes on your laptop or computer if you already don’t have it. Wait for the installation to complete and run iTunes.

2. Connect your iPhone to your laptop or computer.

3. When iTunes launches, click on “iPhone” then click “Info” and select “Outlook”. Make sure that “Sync Contacts” option is enabled, if not, simply click on its corresponding checkbox to enable it.

4. From the options that show up, select desired contacts to transfer and click “Apply”.

5. All your accounts from the iPhone will be transferred to your Outlook account. Now you simply need to set up your Outlook account on your Windows phone and you’ll be good to go!

Sadly, there’s no direct way to send your iPhone messages to your windows phone. There are a lot of paid third party apps however, that can help you in the process but even they have one severe limitation; they only transfer your messages to your laptop or computer in the form of PDFs or CSV files. Even the iTunes backup only lets you create a .mdd file of the messages that can be only viewed on your laptop or computer, using notepad.

To transfer Photos:

The easiest method to manually transfer photos between your iPhone and windows phone is by first copying them to your laptop or computer and then copying these pictures from the laptop/computer to the windows phone.

1. Simply connects your iPhone to your laptop or computer. From the Windows Explorer, locate your iPhone and select all the pictures by either pressing Ctrl+a or by holding down Shift key while selecting individual photos.

2. Once all the desired photos have been selected, right click and select “Copy” or “Cut” as per your wish. Go to the desired location on your laptop or computer, and right click; from the menu that appears select “Paste”. Wait for all the photos to get transferred.

3. Now attach your windows phone to the same laptop/computer. Go to the location where all the photos to be transferred are present and select them by pressing Ctrl+a.
